YOU ARE A WRITER
seriously, you are!
As a freelance copywriter, I helped entrepreneurs, authors, small businesses and job hunters express themselves in writing. I'd conduct a long interview to get to know them as much as I could, then leverage my intuition and talent to fill in the magic. I was different from many copywriters, in that I paid very close attention to the exact words and phrases people used. Then, I infused their voice into the copy.
2 elements of my process contributed to the writing of extraordinary copy:
Safe Space. As a friendly, supportive outsider, my interview and brainstorming style allowed people to openly express their greatest vision. The best stuff oozed out when they were relaxed and in the flow!
Their Words. The message is most powerful from the horse's mouth. Clients were continually amazed by how great their own ideas sounded in writing! My intuitive talent merely sprinkled the sparkle on their powerful message.
If you think so, or not, you are a writer!
With a bit of guidance, you can learn to express your vision as beautifully as you feel it.
Writing your own copy is more powerful than it will ever be when someone else does it for you.
You already know what you want to say, you've got all the heart required, sister!
Let's simply bring out the sparkle, shall we?
Word Around Town
“Elyse brings the sparkle like nobody's biz! I was feeling really shaky about my writing until I came to her. It was such a relief to see that I was so close to what I really wanted to say - it just took a little of Elyse's creative perspective. I feel so good about sharing a message that now sounds great, too! ”
YOU BRING THE MESSAGE.
I BRING THE SPARKLE.
Magic is made.
Writing shines the brightest when the ideas and specific sayings are your own.
People translate the energy of the words more than the letters themselves.
When your experience, your heart and your brilliance live inside the message,
your words are felt.
That's why I created the Writing Review ~
To help women authentically express themselves in writing.
I'd love to help you
Keep Your Writing Integrity Intact. This way, the message and vibe is totally unique to you!
Tweak To Shine. I shake on the sparkle, lightly editing for clarity, elevation and flow.
Make Your Message Clear. I give you pointers on how to heighten your language and seamlessly get your point across.
Offer Fresh Perspective. After your eyeballs cross from reading your draft a million times, I can take a first look. As an outsider, I can easily spot areas we can enhance.
Heal Writer's Block. If you're grinding on a concept and it's just not coming to life the way you want, I offer suggestions to help you break through and bring it forth.
Amplify Your Talent. Learn to communicate your message much more powerfully than you can by repeatedly paying someone to do it for you. You are what makes your writing great.
Be More Yourself. Fuck fill-in-the-blank, copy templates. People can smell unoriginal bullshit from outer space. This is an opportunity to trust yourself, say exactly what you want to say, the way you want to say it and celebrate the fulfillment that authenticity ensures.
Feeling confident in your writing voice, while being true to who you are
is the magic mix for aligning with souls that need to experience your message most.
I'm ready to give you feedback, support, encouragement, insight and sparkle so you can
find ease in your writing process and feel great about your message.
lotsa love afjipza~elyse
How It Works
You submit a writing or combo of writings (up to 1500 words total). I review it and add sparkle (light, elevating editing). We come together for a 1 hr 45 min review session so I can offer feedback, go over tweaks and cover why I made specific changes. That way, you're empowered to improve your own future writings.
Your Writing Review includes:
1500-word submission. This could be a blog post, About page, book chapter/excerpt or a combination of shorter writings.
Sparkle. I personally review your work, bringing out the shine, rearranging for clarity and infusing finesse.
Review Session. 1 hour and 45 minutes of focused face time.
