"There is something in every one of you that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine in yourself."
~ Howard Thurman
Being false doesn't feel good, and yet I've played the part many times. Almost always so someone would like me. As entrepreneurs, creatives and businesspeople, we sometimes blur the lines of who we are, often to impress and prove to others what we can do for them. We work really hard creating an image that may or may not be true so that people will think we "know our stuff." Can we let our guard down to enjoy the magical give and take that transpires with true talent and matching desire? Can we be ourselves in business? Can we know that we're enough without a manufactured image?
Let's strip it all away and start again, with genuine.
