Sometimes inspiration is delivered from the outside. A family member swoops in at a desperate moment. A friend picks you up out of your despair. A stranger sheds light in an unexpected way. Our relationships shine back to us how amazing we are. Sure we can go it alone. We're resilient. We always figure it out along the way. But there's a comfort like none other from letting in the help. A relief in surrendering our need to do it all.
When I let the help in, I live on love a little more. Faith is easier when I have encouragement. When I absorb soul-honoring compliments from friends, it lifts me. I stop trying to be amazing all the time and can rest assured I already am.
